Bibliography of the Athabasca River Basin (BARB)
A Bibliography of the Athabasca River Basin (BARB) is being compiled by associates of the Athabasca River Basin Research Institute (ARBRI). This on-line searchable database should be operational by the fall of 2010. However in the meantime, here is a link to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains more than 22,000 scientific references that deal with the Athabasca River Basin. About 57% of the references are government or industrial reports, 32% are articles from various journals, and 11% are theses from over 150 universities. The scientific part of BARB originated with and was compiled by members of Science Outreach – Athabasca. Grants for this work came from Suncor Energy Foundation and Alberta Lotteries' Community Initiatives Program as well as support from Athabasca University.
