Magnificant River Rats Festival 2002
During the Athabasca Canada Day celebrations in 2002, Science Outreach - Athabasca brought our travelling exhibit cabinet featuring the mollusc display to promote our science activities. The 'open-me' drawers containing various specimens were a big hit as it gave the children a 'hands-on' introduction to molluscs.
There was also an activity for young children where they could dig for plastic dinosaur bones in the sandbox. A training ground for future palaeontologists!
