When Numbers Scream
October 6, 2002
Dr. Zack Florence, a biologist and statistican, gave a talk at Athabasca University regarding how to go about squeezing information out of all kinds of data. He talked about how you can use the same statistical techniques to, for example, analyze X-rays, measure tree height or count votes and get meaningful data out of each one. He also discussed why polls are accurate "19 times out of 20" and the meaning of biodiversity.
